Terms and Conditions

I hope that you enjoy your bakes from Fiona’s Fancies for Fun!  The following information may be useful for you in transporting, storage, food safety and especially regarding allergens.  By paying your initial payment for your bake, you are agreeing in full to the below terms and conditions, so please read them carefully.

ALLERGENS

Please let Fiona's Fancies for Fun know if you, or anyone eating the bakes you are purchasing from Fiona’s Fancies for Fun, have any allergies or intolerances. As I bake in a domestic kitchen, where all allergens are present, I cannot guarantee that there is no risk of cross contamination.

Allergens in my bakes:

Cereals containing gluten 
Eggs
Milk
Nuts – most bakes do not contain nuts unless you specifically ask for them. However I do use nuts in my kitchen and some bakery items I use have a “may contain traces of nuts” on them.
Soya

A list of allergens will be attached to your bake when you collect it.

Other allergens not usually used in my bakes but that you need to be aware of and I shall let you know if they are present in your bake are: lupin, molluscs, celery, fish and sulphur dioxide. 


Payment

Celebration Cakes: 

An initial non-refundable payment of 50% of the total cost quoted is kindly requested within one week of agreeing to the order.  If this is not received in the specified time period, unfortunately I may not be able to hold the date for your cake.  
The remaining 50% is kindly requested one week before the cake is due to be collected.  If this is not received, unfortunately I shall not be able to bake and decorate your cake.

Treat boxes, tray bakes, cupcake boxes, cookie boxes, brownies:  

Full payment is kindly required within one week of agreeing to the order or within 24 hours of placing the order, if the bakes are required within 7 days. If this is not received, unfortunately I shall not be able to bake and decorate your bake.

Ways to Pay

Payment can be made by bank transfer (preferred) or cash.


Design

I shall try hard to decorate the bake to the design that we discuss and agree upon. Unfortunately I cannot copy designs you may find online exactly but will offer my interpretation and create a personalised and unique bake for you.

Final design choices you have been made will be sent to you for your agreement.  Please check all details especially spellings and let Fiona’s Fancies for Fun know if there is any information that isn’t correct.


Collection of Bakes

When you arrive to collect your bakes, please arrive promptly at the time agreed.  If you arrived outside of the time agreed, Fiona's Fancies for Fun cannot guarantee someone will be available to hand over your bake.

You will be able to view the bake and discuss with me that you are happy with the design and that it is in perfect condition.  

Once you leave with the bake, you do so with the knowledge that you have agreed that you are happy with the bake and therefore cannot dispute either design or structure at a later time.


Transporting Your Cake

Once bakes have been collected, Fiona’s Fancies for Fun, no longer bears responsibility for the bake and we ask you follow the following care suggestions:

Bakes should always be carried level with your hands under the box to support it.

Please transport the bake on a flat surface eg the footwell of the car or in the boot but please make sure nothing can fall on it and it is secure. Please do not carry in your lap or place on a car seat.

Please drive slowly and carefully, especially round corners and over bumps and try not to brake suddenly.

If a very hot day, please make sure the air con is on in the car and the car is as cool as it can be.

Fiona’s Fancies for Fun bears no responsibility for any damage to bakes if not transported correctly.


Care of the Bakes

You will be given instructions as to your particular bake and how you should store it before you have collected it.  Fiona’s Fancies for Fun bears no responsibility for any damage to bakes if not stored correctly.

Once cut, the bake should be wrapped in cling film or stored in an airtight container to keep its freshness.

A use by date will be on the side of the box and Fiona’s Fancies for Fun bears no responsibility for the freshness or taste of the bake if eaten after this date.

Non-edible items: the bake may contain non-edible items eg flowers, structure supports etc which you will be made aware of when you collect the bake and you are responsible for removing these before the bake is consumed.


Cancellation

If you have to cancel your order, initial payments are non-refundable. 

In the unlikely event that Fiona’s Fancies for Fun needs to cancel an order, you will be given as much notice as possible and any payment made will be returned as soon as possible.


Changes to the Order

Any changes to the order need to be made at least 2 weeks before the cake is due and it may incur extra charges, which you will be made aware of.


Compliments/Complaints

If you are happy with your bake from Fiona’s Fancies for Fun, we would appreciate you leaving a review on our social media pages.

In the unlikely event that you are not happy with the taste of the bake, please contact Fiona’s Fancies for Fun directly.  The remainder of the bake must be returned to Fiona’s Fancies for Fun within 48 hours of collection, in order to assess the complaint.


Photographs

Fiona’s Fancies for Fun reserves the right to photograph bakes and use them for advertising and promotional purposes.

GDPR
According to GDPR guidelines, we need your consent to keep any information on you on file.  We will ask for your permission when you purchase a bake.  We promise to keep your details safe and secure and only use them for the our records.  You can change your mind at any time by emailing fionasfanciesforfun@gmail.com and asking for your details to be removed from our files.
